About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Construction team.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will manage allocated HVAC construction projects from initiation through to completion. You will be responsible for project timelines, budgets, quality, safety, resources, contractors and client relationships.
This role requires strong HVAC knowledge, proven project management experience and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage HVAC construction projects from initiation to completion
- Develop project plans, objectives, schedules and resource requirements
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely and successful delivery
- Manage project budgets, invoicing, collections and financial performance
- Coordinate engineers, site teams, contractors and other resources
- Manage subcontractor performance and project delivery
- Ensure construction work meets contractual obligations and specifications
- Resolve design, coordination and technical issues
- Manage project risks, challenges and contingency plans
- Provide monthly project progress reports
- Assist with the preparation of tenders and proposals
- Identify opportunities with new and existing clients
- Promote continuous improvement and share project lessons learned
Safety and Quality
- Manage toolbox talks and site safety requirements
- Coordinate site inspections, witness testing and commissioning
- Ensure project compliance with WHS requirements
- Implement quality management system requirements throughout each project
- Promote safe work practices and report unsafe acts or behaviours
- Contribute to maintaining safe and clean working environments
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for allocated construction projects
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout each project
- Attend construction sites during active projects
- Understand client needs, expectations and project requirements
- Provide regular project updates
- Address client concerns and provide practical solutions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively with engineering, site management, quality assurance, procurement, finance, HSEQ, HR, National Accounts, subcontractors and government agencies
Team Support
- Support the construction team with workflow, scheduling and day-to-day operations
- Provide training and assistance to team members where required
- Mentor site supervisors and other project team members
- Provide feedback to the construction team regarding client matters
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar Project Manager position
- Project management qualifications and experience
- Thorough understanding of HVAC systems
- Experience managing budgets for medium to large projects
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and literacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
- Results-focused, motivated and self-disciplined working style
- Current driver licence
- Current White Card
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or management
- Understanding of other building services
